Lisa Björke was born 1979 in Hudiksvall that is a small coast town situated in the middle of Sweden. She holds a BA in Jewelery Art from HDK-School of design and crafts in Gothenburg, andshe is currently studying at Konstfack College in Stockholm in order to obtain her MA in spring 2010. Her work has been shown in several cities in Sweden, and also internationally in Barcelona, Munich and Zurich. Lisa has a back-ground in theater and that still influences her work from time to time, with large scale pieces and bright colors that could have been created for the stage. She works with material out from a emotional point of view, the value lies in the time and love she puts in the material not how much it costs when buying it. Lisa makes unique pieces that invite the viewer to take part in her stories.
